Obama’s speech to Future Chinese Leaders

November 19, 2009 – 12:57 am

Maybe you heard about the speech of my hero Obama to future Chinese leaders and students in Shanghai. He said some interesting things in Shanghai and you can see how he talks about delicate issues without making the closely observing Chinese government look bad. Check out the full transcript or video at whitehouse.gov

  3. What do you think about Chinese universities?

I’m intersted in doing some echange term in economics in China, but I don’t really know where to go yet… My uni’s got partnerships with Fudan, Tsinghua and Beida but they’re all lacking quite far behind in most international economics and management rankings.

  5. CEIBS is also a partner uni of my uni, but only for Master students. I’m still doing my bachelor degree :)

  6. Well, then I can’t say much except I never studied business at any Chinese university nor do I know anyone personally who did.

You could look at your university for students who went to one of those partner universities previously. They might be able to tell you more.

  7. Well, I guess I’m going to Chengdu to Xinancaida again for one term. Ok, I’ll have to pay the study fees myself, but they aren’t really high in China anyway – and I’d save a considerable amount of money because of the much lower living expenses in Chengdu compared to Shanghai^^

BTW, I like this Google ad:
    Travel with Chinese Girl
Want fantastic Chinese trip with pretty Chinese lady? Find her now!

    xD

  8. Damn, I missed that ad. For me they only show learn Chinese here, learn Chinese there.
I heard the latest google ads are really smart. They show ads based on your recently visited websites ;) JK :D

On a side note: I’ve read that “all inclusive holidays” got a new meaning during the last years. As more and more people are single all inclusive holidays can sometimes even include a girlfriend (or boyfriend if you are a female traveler). Might be a nice article for my blog.
