June 19, 2010 – 11:49 am

I’m happy to announce to my dear followers, that the great nation of North Korea could beat the ferocious Brazilians in a tight match of Football on South African ground. Although both teams worked hard, it was obvious from the beginning, that the North Koreans would be victorious. The national football team of North Korea once again brought glory to the greatest nation in the world, and achieved a 1:0 win against Brazil. 40000 North Korean fans cheered our undefeated players in the stadium. 加油北韩!

  2. I’ve seen the same video on You-Tube and a Korean guy said the video is fake. He said someone used commentary of a South Korean game from 2002 and the commentary doesn’t match the action on the field. Well, I can’t be sure 100%, since I’m not Korean, but it doesn’t look original to me. I’m for “fake”.

  3. Just have a look at the very last sentence of the news presenter, then you know if it is a funny fake, or the great nation of North Korea really won against Brazil in the World Cup 2010

  4. It obviously is a fake – North Korea calls itself “the democratic people’s republic of korea”. However, it’s funny^^
But I don’t think they’re gonna make sever propaganda about the football championship – except for that they’re probably not going to tell their people about the four players who escaped :D

  5. A news items has only a limited lifespan. It’s interesting while it’s interesting, then it is forgotten. The missing players never went missing, it was just a misunderstanding. But I guess that is to boring to report for the mainstream media.

yea fake, but who cares. It’s funny. 加油北韩!

  6. I’ve read somewhere, that the NK supporters in the stadium were paid Chinese actors. Not sure, if it’s true, but I wouldn’t be surprised. How some North Koreans possibly be free to leave, let alone have enough money to afford such trip… unless they work for the government, of course.

  7. I think there are quite some Chinese people living in South Africa and for a few bucks extra they would bring a North Korean flag to support. I read that news item as well, but I’m not really sure what to think about it.
