Next spring
December 20, 2007 – 10:30 pmFinally I got my internship for next semester. I’m going to the spring city Kunming. This city is south of Chengdu and quite large. I’ve heard that several local minorities live there, it is one of the areas with the highest STD rates in China and the most dirty lake of China is there as well. Kunming is said to be the “Spring city” whatever that means. I’m expecting some green parks full of flowers. Honestly I’m quite excited to go there. Kunming seems to be a little bit smaller and backward, then it’s probably going to be a good life experience.
Once there I’m going to work on some projects that include Java programming for Blackberry mobile phones. No, I’m not working for RIM (Research in Motion) the producer of Blackberry, it’s a small company that creates 3rd party applications. In case You don’t know what a Blackberry is, here I got a picture:

Blackberry mobile phone, almost as yummy as a blackberry cake.
My personal plans during my internship in China include learning a good bunch of new Chinese words, as well as getting a better listening skill, which is one of my major problems at the moment with my Chinese learning efforts.
