Kunming zoo

April 5, 2008 – 7:28 am

This week I’ve been to Kunming zoo. Actually I didn’t want to go there, as someone warned me before that the zoo is in a bad condition. But I had a date with some Lady and she said, that we would go to some park. First I thought we would go to some park, but When we were inside I realised this is the zoo. Too late.

As I was told, the zoo is in a bad condition, many of the cages are too small or in a generally bad condition. The next picture should give You an impression:

Animals often live in very small cages.

Going to the zoo was an overall mixed experience, not the best option for a date. Some parts of the zoo are really depressing, however some other parts are okay. After we had been watching a few animals suffering, we decided just to move on and see the cherry garden. On our way to the garden we came across the bird area, which is in a good shape and a strong contrast to the rest of the zoo:

The Cherryflowertrees were a positive end to our trip to this zoo. If You end up in the zoo You should check out these trees.

If You want to relax in some kind of park in Kunming, You better consider going to Green Lake Park.
