Chinese job sites
November 25, 2007 – 4:24 pmBeing in the process of finding an internship in China I realized is quite hard. If You are studying something like marketing, economics or logistics then You will find more jobs than You can read in Your lifetime. As an IT guy however the options are way smaller. Especially since China has enough IT guys already. So I expanded my search to Chinese job websites. You can switch the language to English on these:
51job.com (english: http://www.51job.com/default-e.php )
zhaopin.com (english: http://english.zhaopin.com/ )
The offers on these sites are for Chinese persons, so they implicitly assume that You can speak Mandarin if You apply. Once I run out of other options I will go for these jobs… with my beginners Chinese. Let’s see what happens.
Another option is the German chamber of commerce:
For those interested in a Japanese job check out:
Landing a job in China often requires that You can speak Chinese. However there are two major dialects, namely Mandarin and Cantonese which are worth learning. For those new to the Chinese language this is a decision they have to make. Check my guide on the question Mandarin or Cantonese to get some input on this matter.

Hi,
I thought I would add to your list of Chinese job websites.
You should check out http://www.LongDaGe.com
It is similar to craigslist in the US, but LongDaGe.com covers all of China, as well as most major english speaking cities in the world.
The site is fully bilingual, english and chinese, which should cover almost everyone.
I expect to see this site grow rapidly in the future.
Cheers
Charles

Hi Charles
Nice addition, I will take a closer look at the site soon as I’m looking for sites that have a lot of Jobs in Asia and specifically in China.
Yeah, looks a little like http://craigslist.com which is quite a nice place to find virtually anything.
I guess there are quite some sites out there to find jobs in China, this article needs some reworking.
